How do I use the lock?

Can I reset my combination after I initially set it?

Yes. Set the code to your original combination, and follow the instructions to set a new combination.

I've set my new code but it doesn't work, what do I do?

Try starting with your original combination and turn each dial + or - one digit on each number. For example if you intended to set to 6-3-8-7:

  • Attempt 1: 7-3-8-7
  • Attempt 2: 5-3-8-7
  • Attempt 3: 6-4-8-7
  • Attempt 4: 6-2-8-7
  • etc..
How much pressure should I place on the shackle when setting the combination code?

You should be placing enough pressure to ensure that the notch is pressed all the way down into the hole. 

Notch is aligned to the hole but not pushed in - this will not allow you to reset your combination.

Notch is aligned to the hole and is fully pressed in. You must maintain sufficient pressure to ensure the notch enters the hole and stays there during the entirety of the code setting process..
Can you help me reset the code?

Unfortunately no. We are unable to reset the lock.  

I purchased the lock but it does not open, what do I do?

Contact our support team at support@toporigins.com. In the subject of the e-mail, place the words "0-0-0-0 doesn't open my lock". 

I am not happy with my purchase. Can I get a refund?

Lock Captain does not receive your purchase information. If you would like to request a refund, please contact the retailer where you made your purchase.
